Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking an ASR II to assist patients with check-in/check-out and registrations at one of our Houston-area locations. The role emphasizes friendly service, accurate cash handling, and efficient patient flow within a busy healthcare setting.

Primary duties include processing registrations in Epic, collecting payments, and communicating wait times. Strong customer service and healthcare exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct face to face customer service experience.
• 1+ years of cash handling or collections experience.
• 6+ months experience in a customer facing role within a medical office, healthcare setting or other service related industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in and check-out using POS, collect payments.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and organized workspace.
• Process patient registration and insurance data in Epic.
• Communicate wait times and route inquiries to appropriate departments.
• Support cash control and end-of-day balancing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site manager.
