Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic West Campus, is seeking a Per Diem Ambulatory Service Representative II. The role supports patient check-in/check-out, registration and cashiering, while ensuring a courteous, efficient patient experience.

Required: high school diploma, strong English communication, and experience in customer service and health information confidentiality. Per diem schedule with the potential for cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Math ability.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• 1+ years of direct face-to-face customer service.
• 1+ years of cash handling or collections experience.
• Experience in medical office or Epic Front Desk Training or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Handle check-in and check-out functions, including registration and cashiering.
