Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse within the Enterprise Float Pool to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and implement individualized care plans. You will ensure coordination of care, evaluate outcomes, and guide patients and families through the continuum of care.

You will require a California RN license, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and the ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain NRP, PALS and other unit-specific certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience, including recent Step-Down or ICU exposure.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement care plans for assigned patient groups.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and support staff.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plans as needed.
• Mentor nursing students and new staff; function as a Patient Care Coordinator as required.
