Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a clinical nurse for the Enterprise Float Pool. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and coordinate care, evaluate outcomes, and guide patients toward discharge while mentoring students and new nurses.

Applicants should have a California RN license, a BSN, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a California RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for external candidates.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge and revise plans as needed.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses on the unit.
• Function as a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) as requested by supervision.
