Job summary

UCI Health in Orange and Irvine seeks a Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate patient progress through the continuum of care. You will act as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses on the unit.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN, have at least 2 years of Critical Care/ICU experience, and are able to float between locations.

Qualifications

• Must float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience.
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Licenses: Registered Nurse; Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for patients.
• Coordinate care between disciplines and support staff throughout the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to nursing students and new staff on the unit
