Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a clinical nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool. The role requires coordinating comprehensive plans of care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes across Orange and Irvine locations.

The nurse will evaluate progress, adjust plans, and mentor students and new staff while covering variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. BSN is required for external hires, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience required.
• BSN required for external candidates.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care.
• Coordinate care across units and support staff; evaluate outcomes and readiness for discharge.
• Serve as a role model/mentor for students and new nurses on the unit.
