Job summary

Lilly is seeking passionate chemists to join the PTE team, coordinating peptide downstream transfers from development labs to pilot plants and supporting early‑phase cGMP manufacturing of API for clinical supply.

Initial location in Indianapolis/Carmel, with permanent expansion to Lebanon, Indiana. Collaboration across teams, rigorous documentation, and a focus on process transfer and continuous improvement are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in synthesis peptide purification and/or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and facilitate transfer of peptide downstream processes from development labs to pilot plant operations.
• Enable early‑phase cGMP manufacturing of grams to kilogram quantities of API for clinical supply.
• Perform peptide purification and isolation and assess purification methods from early phase process R&D labs.
• Familiar with peptide downstream procedures such as reverse‑phase chromatography, TFF, lyophilization and drying.
• Collaborate with safety and process engineering to evaluate incoming procedures.
• Maintain organized lab notebooks and document technical transfers and replication packages.
