Job summary

Lilly Medicine Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana seeks a Mixed Modality (Peptide Downstream) Scientist to transfer peptide downstream processes to pilot plant operations and enable early-phase cGMP manufacturing of grams to kilogram quantities for clinical supply.

You will perform peptide purification and develop robust methods, maintain detailed lab notebooks, and contribute to process improvement and technical documentation across teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of peptide purification and/or manufacturing experience in peptide API or drug substance.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and facilitate transfer of peptide downstream processes from development labs to pilot plant operations.
• Perform peptide purification and isolation; assess purification methods.
• Ensure plant readiness and document technical transfers, SOPs, batch records, and CAPAs.
