Muon Space in San Jose, CA is seeking a self-starting People Operation Coordinator to support day-to-day People Ops, onboarding communications, and broader initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role is onsite five days per week, reporting to the People Operations Manager, and requires comfort with confidential information and distributed teams. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or similar function (internships or campus involvement welcome).
• Serve as trusted first point of contact for employees with professionalism and discretion.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail across tasks and documents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Employee Support: act as primary employee-facing contact for day-to-day People Ops questions with empathy and speed.
• Onboarding: coordinate welcome communications, schedules, and admin setup for new hires across a distributed workforce.
• Feedback Loops: design onboarding surveys to improve early employee experience (e.g., in Lattice).
• Internal Docs: help create and maintain wikis, FAQs, and self-serve documentation.
• HRIS & Data Hygiene: maintain accurate employee records and profiles in HRIS, including title/manager changes.
• Benefits & Admin: assist with benefits questions, open enrollment tasks, and leave-of-absence resources.
