Job summary

Evlo AI in Seattle is hiring a People Operations Specialist to manage onboarding, records, benefits, payroll coordination, compliance, and HR reporting. You will partner with employees, managers, Finance, IT, and vendors to deliver accurate, responsive people support.

You will use Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, Slack, and Google Workspace to create consistent employee experiences as the company scales. 1–3 years in People Ops preferred; a related bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, or HR administration.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and people tools such as Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, or similar.
• Knowledge of employee lifecycle, benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and data reconciliation for headcount tracking.
• Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a service mindset.
• Bonus: HR automation, people analytics, SOC 2/audit support, multi-state work, or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and org changes in the HRIS.
• Coordinate new-hire setup with IT, Finance, and managers, tracking equipment, access, payroll inputs, and first-week needs.
• Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and process guides across HR systems.
• Administer benefits and leave by coordinating with brokers, payroll, and employees.
• Prepare recurring people reports and audits to support headcount and compliance.
• Respond to employee questions via Slack, email, and tickets, escalating sensitive matters as needed.
• Improve People Operations processes by documenting requirements, automating tasks, and evaluating HR tools.
