Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a People Operations Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring onboarding, ongoing updates, and offboarding are accurate and efficient. You will maintain HR system integrity and deliver a responsive employee experience.

The role involves serving as the primary contact for employee questions, maintaining data in Rippling, supporting compliance, and driving lifecycle improvements across onboarding and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in People Operations, Employee Experience, or a comparable shared services role in a fast-paced organization.
• Experience creating and improving processes that enhance efficiency and accuracy while preserving data integrity.
• Ability to operate as a self-starter using strong judgment to determine when to own outcomes independently and when to elevate.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to guide program improvements and decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; hands-on experience with Rippling or another HRIS; knowledge of employment law across states including California and Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions across the people lifecycle, handling and resolving issues directly or escalating complex cases to the appropriate partner.
• Assist the People team with preparing and processing documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle events.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data in Rippling, including job changes, background checks, and other lifecycle updates.
• Support compliance-related processes, documentation, and audits across the employee lifecycle.
• Identify trends and gaps in the employee experience to support process improvements, policy updates, and employee communications.
