The Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois in South Elgin, IL is seeking an on-site Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations across the employee lifecycle. You will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, training, employee support, and program activities including AmeriCorps, while partnering with IT and program leaders.

You will serve as a primary contact for routine questions, maintain HR records, and help ensure timely, confidential handling of issues with leadership guidance

Qualifications

• Higher education or relevant coursework in HR, business, psychology, or related field; 1–2 years of HR-related experience is acceptable.
• HR certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS tools and basic IT coordination.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate recruiting and selection activities with HR team and hiring leaders.
• Support prehire, orientation, and new hire processes with progress tracking.
• Coordinate equipment setup and IT access for new hires.
• Assist employees with IT support requests and follow-up with IT partner.
• Maintain records of laptops, equipment, and access items.
• Support onboarding and offboarding coordination with partners.
• Schedule and track mandatory training and development activities.
• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee questions.
• Refer sensitive concerns to HR leadership as needed.
• Coordinate AmeriCorps program administration and records.
• Collaborate on volunteer program activities and records.
