Job summary

Universal Asset Management (UAM) is seeking an HR Generalist & Payroll to support our Mississippi operations in Tupelo. You will manage staff recruitment in-state, process payroll changes, and partner with the HR Director and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and time-and-attendance systems, and the ability to coach managers on policies. Travel to facilities as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field or 3 years of HR experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to relate information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and time and attendance systems for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit staff in Mississippi in collaboration with HR Director.
• Process payroll changes and report to HR Director and Finance.
• Coordinate vacation balances and assist with Workers’ Compensation matters.
• Coach and guide managers on company policies.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and HR process changes.
• Travel to facilities as required.
