Adient in Northwood Facility is seeking an HR support specialist to assist the Human Resources Manager with personnel activities, employee relations, and training coordination.

The role involves maintaining master files, onboarding new hires, orienting staff to policies and benefits, administering benefits and leave programs, and supporting safety and policy initiatives to sustain a productive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Manager with personnel activities to support employee relations.
• Maintain and organize electronic master files and reference copies.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and background check applicants as needed.
• Assist in planning new employee orientation and promote plant involvement.
• Orient new employees to policies, procedures, benefits, and safety rules.
• Assist in developing/updating policies affecting hourly and salary employees.
• Administer daily benefits program inquiries and data compilation.
• Maintain and administer FMLA and STD per policy.
• Identify training needs and coordinate employee involvement activities.
• Coordinate with managers to implement HR policies effectively.
• Apply corrective and preventative actions when discrepancies are found.
• Engage in safety practices and support Kaizen safety events and audits.
• Support plant safety goals and environmental initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required by HR Manager.
• Review customer-specific requirements for compliance.
