Job summary

1X is seeking a People Operations Generalist to own onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, payroll coordination, benefits, leave, compliance, and recurring People programs. You will balance hands‑on execution with continuous improvement, identifying automation opportunities to strengthen data integrity and efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with Payroll, Finance, IT, and hiring managers in a fast‑paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in People Operations or HR Generalist roles with ownership of lifecycle processes.
• Hands‑on HRIS admin experience, including employee records, workflow configuration, reporting, and data integrity; Rippling ideal.

Responsibilities

• Own core People Operations programs across onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, payroll coordination, benefits, leave, compliance, and recurring processes.
• Balance hands‑on execution with continuous improvement and automation to reduce manual work.
• Ensure payroll‑impacting employee changes, benefits, leaves, and transitions are processed accurately with Payroll and Finance.
• Maintain compliance and reporting practices, including I-9, wage and hour, EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, ACA.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders across People, IT, Finance, and hiring managers.
