Job summary

Opiniion is seeking an experienced People Operations Generalist to serve as the operational backbone of our People team in Lehi, UT. You will own core HR operations end to end—benefits, leave, payroll, HRIS (Rippling), performance reviews, and employee relations—while partnering across the team and covering leadership absences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Hands-on experience administering payroll, benefits, and leave programs.
• Experience with an HRIS platform (Rippling preferred) in day-to-day operations.
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law, compliance, and recordkeeping.
• Experience supporting or administering a performance review cycle.
• Strong analytical skills with HR reporting experience.
• Experience designing or coordinating learning and development programs.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to operate independently and own responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day administrator of Rippling (HRIS) and produce standard reports.
• Track and maintain HR compliance across multi-state jurisdictions.
• Administer quarterly performance review cycle and calibration support.
• Be first point of contact for employee relations questions and policy interpretation.
• Design and coordinate learning and development programs and manager training.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollment and changes.
• Own FMLA and state-specific leave cases from intake to return-to-work.
• Maintain the employee handbook and HR policy documentation.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition on new-hire handoff during onboarding.
• Plan and run logistics for company culture and engagement activities.
• Provide backup for core HR operations during leadership absences.
• Process payroll and own payroll tax and compensation administration.
