Job summary

The Bug Company in Minnesota seeks an experienced HR Generalist to oversee the full employee lifecycle across multi-state operations. You will serve as a key resource for employees and leadership while ensuring HR practices are compliant, responsive, and aligned with business needs.

This role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, OSHA, performance counseling, employee engagement, and separations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience supporting multi-state HR operations.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full employee lifecycle across multi-state operations.
• Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, offers, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and employment documentation.
• Manage status changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, and OSHA compliance.
• Handle employee relations, performance counseling, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Partner with leadership to ensure compliant HR practices across states.
