Job summary

The Heritage Foundation is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support talent management, onboarding, and HRIS administration. You will help maintain compensation data, run workforce reports, and assist with analytics to guide decision-making.

You will collaborate with the People Operations team on employee lifecycle activities, data integrity, and reporting while promoting a positive employee experience through streamlined processes and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant HR/People Operations experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS/HR technology.
• SHRM-CP or progress toward certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support talent management with compensation recommendations, salary administration, career tracks, and market pricing.
• Prepare vacancy, position management, and workforce reports to support planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate onboarding activities including offer letters and new hire orientation.
• Maintain HRIS data, including job codes, transfers, and employee records; ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare recurring workforce, compensation, and operational reports; create basic dashboards.
