Job summary

Atoms is hiring an HR Generalist to support employees and leaders with HR processes from onboarding to offboarding. You will own key HR workflows, ensure data accuracy, and maintain compliance across multiple employment areas.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years HR experience, is detail-oriented, and can navigate a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality service to managers and staff.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience in logistics/start-up or related field.
• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient with payroll HRIS and MS Office.
• Hands-on experience with workers' compensation handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HRIS and employee data accuracy, reporting readiness.
• Guide employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, and expectations.
• Manage onboarding workflows including HRIS setup and policy acknowledgments.
• Own employee relations intake, documentation, resolution tracking, and escalation.
• Review attendance and time-off records for payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with operations and insurance partners.
• Audit HR files, I-9s, headcount, payroll data, and benefits eligibility for compliance.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on workforce planning and processes.
• Pull payroll reports and resolve discrepancies with Finance.
• Liaise with benefits providers and communicate benefits information.
• Generate HR reports on headcount, attrition, leaves, and metrics.
• Support policy updates and internal HR communications.
• Assist with offboarding including termination entries and final pay.
