Job summary

Atoms seeks an HR Generalist to support employees and leaders with HR processes, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations. Will own key workflows, maintain data accuracy, and ensure compliance across employment areas.

You’ll collaborate with operations to support workforce planning, run payroll data checks, and advise managers on HR policy while upholding company culture in a fast-paced startup environment. Base salary is paid annually with benefits included.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience in Logistics, Start-up or related field.
• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient with payroll management and HRIS.
• Hands-on experience handling workers’ compensation cases.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HRIS and employee data systems with accuracy and reporting readiness.
• Advise employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, and workplace expectations.
• Manage onboarding workflows including HRIS setup and policy acknowledgment.
• Own the employee relations process from intake to resolution.
• Review attendance and time-off records for payroll compliance.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with operations and insurers.
• Audit HR files, I-9s, headcount, payroll data, and benefits eligibility.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on workforce planning and process improvement.
• Pull payroll reports and verify data before Finance processing.
• Liaise with benefits providers and communicate benefits information.
• Generate HR reports on headcount, attrition, leaves.
• Assist with policy updates and internal HR communications.
• Support HR projects and foster continuous improvement.
• Advise managers on HR-related matters balancing policy and business goals.
• Own offboarding process including final pay and system deactivation.
• Perform other HR admin duties.
