Job summary

Atoms is hiring an HR Generalist in Miami to support employees and leaders through HR processes, onboarding, offboarding, workers’ compensation, and employee relations. You’ll ensure data accuracy, compliance, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with operations to implement workforce planning, run payroll-related audits, and advise managers on HR policies while maintaining a service mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of HR experience in Logistics, Start-up or related field.
• Associates Degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
• Proficient with payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HRIS and employee data systems with accuracy and reporting readiness.
• Serve as a trusted resource on HR policies, benefits, and workplace expectations.
• Manage onboarding workflows for a smooth, compliant new hire experience.
• Own the employee relations process, including intake, documentation, resolution tracking, and escalation when needed.
• Support review of attendance and time-off records for payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with operations and insurance partners.
• Conduct audits across HR focus areas to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on workforce planning and process improvements.
• Pull payroll reports and verify data before submission to Finance; resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with benefits providers for timely communication of benefits information.
• Generate HR reports on headcount, attrition, leave trends, etc.
• Contribute to policy updates and internal HR communications.
• Advise managers on HR-related matters, balancing policy, culture, and business objectives.
• Own offboarding process including termination entries and final pay updates.
