Carter's is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in California to be the first face of our brand for growing families. You will welcome customers, coach a team, and help drive sales while upholding our inclusive, customer-focused culture.

In this role you will lead workforce management, assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff, and ensure merchandising standards, promotions, and loss prevention. A high school diploma or GED and retail leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Proficient computer skills with basic software applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to success and maintain service standards.
• Analyze business performance and drive KPIs with the team.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff.
• Plan and execute merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
