Job summary

Border Foods is seeking an Assistant Manager to reinforce our CORE values and lead the restaurant’s daily operations. You will supervise team members, ensure safe, quality food, and provide a friendly guest experience.

This non-exempt role requires 1 year of restaurant or retail experience, ServeSafe certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or retail experience.
• Experience with sales, P&L, recruiting, and training.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Non-exempt management; minimum 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certification.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations.
• Develop and lead a strong team.
• Ensure safe, quality food and friendly guest experience.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and waste; manage costs.
• Enforce health and safety standards and policies.
