Job summary

Border Foods is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee restaurant operations, build a strong team, and ensure fast, friendly service. You will reinforce our CORE values and drive profitability by managing scheduling, training, and daily P&L awareness.

This non-exempt role requires at least 1 year of restaurant or retail experience, ServeSafe certification, and 50-hour weeks. We offer top pay, a bonus program up to $20,000, education reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year restaurant or retail experience or combined experience and education.
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Must be able to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management position requiring a minimum of 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe certified.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee restaurant operations and lead a strong team to deliver great food and a friendly guest experience.
• Drive safe, fast, and friendly service while maintaining health and safety standards.
• Manage scheduling, labor, and inventory to optimize profits and control costs.
• Coach and develop Team Members; ensure proper training and orientation for new hires.
• Represent Border Foods in guest interactions and handle issues professionally.
