Job summary

Border Foods LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and lead a focused team toward delivering fast, friendly service and safe, quality food. You will drive staffing, training, and guest satisfaction while upholding Border Foods CORE values.

This non-exempt role requires strong leadership, 50-hour weeks, and a commitment to safety, standards, and continuous improvement in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of restaurant or retail experience.
• Experience with sales-building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management position; minimum 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the entire restaurant.
• Build a strong, trained, and high-performing team.
• Provide a safe, welcoming environment for guests.
• Schedule staff and manage team performance.
• Ensure fast, friendly service and food safety.
• Monitor POS systems and pricing changes.
• Control labor and inventory costs.
• Address customer concerns and maintain quality standards.
