Andy J Egan Co. in Walker, MI is seeking a part-time HR Intern to support onboarding, recruiting and HR administration while you complete your degree.

You will help with benefits enrollment, training coordination, and preparing HR documents, all while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a positive workplace culture. The role offers exposure to union and non-union environments, data entry in Sage 300, and potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Industrial Labor Relations, Organizational Development or related majors in good academic standing.
• Must be in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding for union and non-union employees by preparing materials, coordinating orientation sessions and introducing new employees to company policies and culture.
• Maintain front-end data entry of new hires into Sage 300 and update employee records as needed.
• Assist recruitment efforts through posting job openings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and participating in candidate interviews.
• Partner with HR and operations to support timely and professional resolution of employee relations matters.
• Assist with annual benefits enrollment, team member engagement activities and recognition events.
• Help organize and coordinate employee training sessions.
• Help prepare HR-related documents such as contracts, offer letters, and performance reviews.
• Assist with special HR projects as needed.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal.
• Provide administrative support for day-to-day HR and Accounting/Payroll teams.
