Job summary

Egan, a trusted mechanical contractor in West Michigan, is seeking an HR Intern to join the team in Walker, MI. The role supports onboarding, recruiting, benefits enrollment, and training coordination in a part-time, in-person setting.

You will work closely with HR and Accounting/Payroll to maintain records, assist with HR documents, and help drive a positive workplace culture. Must be enrolled in a related degree and in good academic standing.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Labor Relations, Organizational Development or relevant majors. Must be in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding for union and non-union employees by preparing materials, coordinating orientation, and introducing new hires to policies and culture.
• Maintain front-end data entry of new hires into Sage 300 and update employee records as needed.
• Assist recruitment efforts through posting job openings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and participating in candidate interviews.
• Partner with HR and operations to support resolution of employee relations matters.
• Assist with annual benefits enrollment, team engagement activities and recognition events.
• Help organize and coordinate employee training sessions.
• Assist with HR contracts, offer letters, and performance reviews.
• Assist with special HR projects and maintain strict confidentiality.

Duties:

Schedule:
