Job summary

Potbelly is seeking an Assistant Manager in a fast-paced restaurant setting. You will co-lead the shop with the General Manager, train and coach teams, interview candidates, and schedule staff while driving marketing efforts to boost sales.

A customer-first mindset and strong communication are essential for success. Expect a base salary range of $50,000–$55,000 with bonus potential, plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Minimum of at least 2 years management experience in either a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Food Safety requirements within your state; must pass and obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and develop Potbelly Associates and Shift Leaders.
• Effectively interview and hire Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders; manage labor goals and deadlines.
• Drive neighborhood shop marketing and promotions to maximize sales potential.
