Qualifications

• 1-3 years of proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role in a dental office.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome to patients as they arrive at the dental practice.
• Schedule appointments for patients, confirming and reminding them via phone or other channels.
• Maintain patient records in the practice management system and ensure records are confidential.
• Verify and update patient insurance information and collect co-pays, deductibles, and payments.
• Process insurance claims and coordinate with providers for billing inquiries or issues.
• Answer patient questions about services, policies, and scheduling via phone, email, or in person.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and support smooth patient flow.
• Communicate scheduling updates and patient arrivals with hygienists, assistants, and dentists.
