Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years’ experience in a customer service position.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• One to three years prior Physician office experience required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and registers them, verifies insurance and collects co-pays.
• Updates patient demographic and billing information as needed.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls and coordinates outside testing.
• Acts as liaison between patient and practice and provides backup scheduling.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality in daily tasks.
• Pulls charts and files test results for daily appointments.
• Responds to medical record requests per protocol.
