Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s McHenry Pediatrics clinic is hiring a Full Time Patient Services Representative for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient service in a busy medical practice, handling registration, insurance verification, and front desk duties.

You will greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, coordinate external testing, and maintain accurate records while upholding confidentiality and compliance with NM's ethics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a customer service position.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, verify insurance and collect co-pays.
• Obtain and update patient demographic information.
• Answer phone and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Serve as liaison between patient and practice.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality in daily work.
