Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Patient Service Representative for multispecialty care, full-time days. You will check patients in and out, collect payments, and support front-desk operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role involves accurate registration, answering questions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring excellent customer service while adhering to clinic policies and compliance standards. Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in a customer service role.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients and guests, confirms identity and visit details.
• Processes check-in/out functions and updates patient information.
• Collects co-payments and processes payments; posts payments.
• Registers patients and schedules appointments as needed.
• Maintains waiting area and communicates delays or changes to patients.
• May float to other clinics or departments as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
