Aufgaben

• Greet patients with friendly, respectful communication.
• Collect and document updated demographics and insurance information.
• Accept patient payments and document them.
• Collect co-pays from insured patients.
• Balance cash drawer and manage credit card batches.
• Assist billing with issue resolution as needed.
• Notify clinical staff of patient arrival via the EMR.
• Inform patients of delays and reschedule as necessary.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette and triage calls.
• Familiarize with forms for appointments and scanning/printing/mailing packets.
• Schedule follow-up and ancillary appointments in the scheduling system.
• Monitor confirmation calls and update the EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality as per InterMed policy.
• Perform other duties to support InterMed’s mission.
