Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking an Operations Associate to join the Pediatric Procedural Unit at Baystate Medical Center. You will support bed management, admissions and discharge processes, and coordinate with nursing and ancillary teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely patient throughput.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will maintain patient records, communicate with multiple departments, and help manage unit logistics.

Qualifications

• 3 years clerical and customer service in healthcare.
• At least one year as Level II OA at BMC.
• Computer literate with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Bed management and patient throughput coordination with nursing and admissions.
• Admissions, discharges, and documentation updates in patient records.
• Coordinate communications between departments to support unit operations.
• Maintain unit logs, schedules, and staffing coverage.
• Assist receptionist duties and serve as unit resource for staff.
