Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an RN for the UCC Nursing Float Pool. The role involves triage, intake, and ongoing patient assessment of pediatric emergency care, with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practice.

The successful candidate will have Florida RN licensure, BSN preferred, and CPR/BLS, PALS, CPI, and PEARS commitments as required. You will collaborate across disciplines and float to multiple Urgent Care Centers as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or compact license in good standing.
• CPN certification preferred within 5 years of hire.

Responsabilités

• Communicates patient progress including critical findings and changes with physicians.
• Performs intakes to prepare patient for care including vital signs and history.
• Delivers nursing care and medications per physician orders with six rights of medication administration.
• Evaluates IV sites post-removal for signs of infiltration or redness.
• Documents in the EHR within 24 hours and adheres to hospital policy.
• Provides patient/family education on health needs and discharge instructions.
• Maintains safe environment and performs thorough hand-offs (SBAR) and infection prevention measures.
• Assists in procedures (I&D, lacerations, sutures removal) as needed.
• Floats to UCC centers as required while maintaining clinical excellence.
