Job summary

PSCFL in Miami, FL is seeking a Pediatric RN to support the Urgent Care Center float pool. You will use nursing processes to assess, implement, and evaluate care, guiding a plan of care with evidence-based practice and patient-family education.

Your role involves urgent intake, vital signs, IV care, medications, and collaborative discharge planning while maintaining quality standards in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or eNLC in good standing.
• BSN degree or actively enrolled in BSN program.
• PALS certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Proficient with EMR systems and critical thinking for triage.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a Pediatric UCC environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient progress and updates to physicians and care team.
• Performs admissions, vital signs, and prep for evaluation by medical team.
• Delegates nursing tasks based on staff competency and scope.
• Administers medications per policy and monitors IV hydration and airway support.
• Assists during procedures and follows physician orders with documentation.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation within 24 hours.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge instructions when appropriate.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and SBAR hand-offs during shifts.
• Floating to other urgent care centers as needed and accepts on-call duties.
