Job summary

Akron Children’s Staff Nurse position involves delivering skilled nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral and social sciences. The role emphasizes family-centered care across patient groups, with leadership duties and collaboration within a pediatric team.

Full-time day shifts (40 hours/week) are offered onsite. Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license, BSN or be eligible for completion within five years, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Licensed RN in the state of Ohio required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care with a family-centered approach.
• Provide care for patients across age groups and developmental statuses.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional duties.
• Deliver patient-centered care and participate in quality improvement and safety duties.
• Assist in staff education, precepting new employees, and mentoring clinical staff.
• Collaborate with provider staff for efficient operation and quality care.
