Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN to provide nursing care and staff guidance at our on-site pediatric facility. This full-time role entails collaborating with physicians, guiding clinical staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care across all pediatric age groups.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, an Ohio RN license (MSL), and BLS certification, with 2+ years of relevant experience and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

BSN is required; candidates hired without BSN must obtain the degree within 5 years from date of hire.
Current BLS certification is required.
Active Ohio RN license; Multistate License (MSL) within 90 days for certain departments.

Responsibilities

Supports provider staff and promotes efficient operation and quality care with pediatric focus.
Precepts new employees and mentors clinical staff.
Provides patient assessment as required.
Participates in staff education on clinically related issues.
Assesses clinical competency and participates in evaluations at 90 days and annually.
Acts as patient advocate and maintains positive public image with families and vendors.
Provides care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs by age group.
Requests/facilitates consultations and assists with discharge planning.
Performs other duties as required.
