Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide bedside care and unit leadership in a multi-specialty setting. You will work under supervision to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and effective use of nursing processes.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and strong critical thinking. You will collaborate with physicians, coordinate patient flow, and assist with care planning, documentation, and education across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program and be licensed in Texas.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules, prepare and submit patient documents for scanning.
• Provide nursing care and leadership on the unit under supervision.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform CPR and participate in emergency response as needed.
• Maintain department QA logs and HIPAA compliance.
• Support patient education and discharge planning.
