Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care in a busy clinical unit. You will lead on the unit under supervision, applying clinical knowledge to ensure safety and comfort and use critical thinking for prioritizing care.

The role requires completion of an approved RN program, current Texas RN license, BLS, and 6+ months of clinical experience. EPIC and Windows experience are preferred; salary includes benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area; 1+ year KSC experience may be considered with approval.
• Current and valid Texas RN license.
• Ability to use equipment for the assigned clinical area (CPR, oxygen, IV therapy).
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and leadership on the unit, under supervision.
• Applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure safety and comfort of patients and families.
• Utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments for timely care.
