Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of OptumCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse in Houston to provide nursing care, support unit leadership, and coordinate patient care. The RN will apply clinical knowledge, perform duties across clerical, patient care, QA, and immunization tasks, and ensure safety and quality in care delivery.

Responsibilities include patient coordination, documentation, and use of clinical equipment; the role emphasizes HIPAA, patient education, and teamwork within a multi-specialty

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 1+ years of KSC experience may be considered in lieu of 6 months RN experience with Sr Dir Nursing approval.
• 6 months in a clinical area.
• Computer experience.
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies.

Responsibilities

• Review doctor's schedule, abstract as needed, print patient materials for visit day.
• Prepare and submit patient documents for scanning.
• Monitor in-basket and complete overdue items; schedule referrals and tests.
• Provide pre-printed educational material as directed by provider.
• Follow HIPAA and protect patient confidentiality; reinforce teaching.
