Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across a clinical area and lead unit activities under supervision. The RN applies clinical knowledge to ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, documenting patient information, and supporting team-based care to improve quality and patient satisfaction in a multi-specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• 1+ years of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic experience may be considered in lieu of 6 months RN experience.
• 6+ months in a clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Review doctor's schedule, abstract as needed, print patient materials and prepare information for visits.
• Schedule appointments and assist with referrals and radiology testing.
• Administer medications using the 7 rights and document responses.
• Monitor and document patient status and communicate with physicians.
• Perform CPR as needed and participate in emergency response.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
