Job summary

La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago seeks a Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee the Billing and Coding functions in a pediatric setting. The role drives accurate coding, timely reimbursement, and strategic oversight during a transition from Meditech and Athena to Epic.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Revenue Cycle, with expertise in Illinois Medicaid policies, and leadership experience. A bachelor’s in a related field is required; Epic certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 5+ years in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
Experience supervising Billing and Coding professionals.
Direct experience with Illinois Medicaid reimbursement and policy.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of Billing and Coding specialists.
Develop staff through ongoing training on pediatric coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) and payer rules.
Establish KPIs (Days in AR, Clean Claim Rate, Denial Rate) and enforce performance standards.
Oversee legacy systems (Meditech, Athena) during transition to Epic.
Serve as SME for Epic go-live with workflow design, testing, data migration, and end-user training.
Ensure data flow between legacy archives and Epic environment.
