Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to function independently.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist, perform routine and basic respiratory therapy procedures (oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, aerosol therapy, incentive spirometry).
• Maintain and organize supply of respiratory therapy equipment per standards.
• Handle equipment cleaning, reassembly, and infection prevention guidelines.
• Complete annual hospital competencies and learn new procedures as needed.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting, following proper technique.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and development per department policies.
