Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn is seeking a Respiratory Therapy student for per diem/registry shifts. You will work under the supervision of a licensed therapist, assisting and performing basic respiratory care tasks for pediatric patients in a world-class NICU environment.

Must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program with BLS certification. No prior experience required; flexible schedule to accommodate school responsibilities and per diem/registry shifts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic respiratory therapy procedures under supervision.
• Maintain equipment and supplies per department standards.
• Clean, reassemble equipment and follow infection prevention guidelines.
• Complete hospital competencies and learn new equipment as needed.
• Assist with patient positioning and transportation when required.
