Advocate Health is seeking May 2027 Respiratory Therapy graduates to join a Pediatric Hospital with a world-class NICU at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge. The role is per diem/registry with flexible shifts to accommodate school responsibilities. No prior experience required, and licensure as BLS is required.

Part-time status with compensation range listed. Under supervision, interns will gain hands-on experience in oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry and related respiratory procedures

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills plus ability to function independently.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Aufgaben

• Under the observation of a licensed respiratory therapist, perform routine and basic respiratory therapy procedures including oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, aerosol therapy and incentive spirometry.
• Organizes and maintains supply of respiratory therapy equipment and supplies as needed by department standards.
• Collects and cleans equipment, observes infection prevention guidelines and reassembles equipment.
• Completes annual hospital competencies and learns new equipment, procedures, and processes as needed.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique and safety.
