Advocate Children's Hospital - Park Ridge in Illinois is seeking May 2027 Respiratory Therapy graduates to join our pediatric hospital team on a Per Diem/Registry schedule with flexible shifts across multiple units.

Under supervision of a licensed therapist you will perform routine respiratory therapies, manage equipment, and ensure patient safety; BLS certification and current enrollment in an accredited RT program are required, with no prior experience necessary.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• No prior professional experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by AHA.
• Illinois externs: status within 3 years of enrollment in approved program.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist, perform basic respiratory therapy procedures including oxygen therapy and incentive spirometry.
• Organize and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies following department standards.
• Collect equipment from hospital areas, clean, reassemble, and observe infection control guidelines.
• Complete annual hospital competencies and learn new equipment, procedures, and processes as needed.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting within safety guidelines.
