Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Reston, VA is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, plus alternating Saturday 8am-12pm. Pediatric experience is preferred and benefits are available.

The role requires phlebotomy duties, specimen labeling, and proper handling of specimens according to protocols. OSHA/DEP regulations compliance and prior venipuncture experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes; ensure accuracy.
• Package and transport specimens; store per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
