Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required by state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and properly label and process specimens.
• Centri fu ge or prepare specimens and maintain accurate maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedure to patients in a clear, courteous manner.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage to preserve sample integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in required trainings.
