LRSolutions, LLC in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The candidate will perform blood draws, labeling, and specimen handling, while ensuring safety and accuracy of patient data.

Experience with pediatric patients is required. The schedule is Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm with every-other Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm. Benefits are available and the project duration is approximately 3 months, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure test requisitions are accurate.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
• Answer inquiries by reading laboratory results to callers.
